Scrolling through Mongchin Yeoh (@mongabong)’s Instagram feed from December 2019, you would notice the frequency of festive red outfits featured by the fashion and beauty influencer.
Starting out as a model earlier in her influencer career, Mongchin had worked with various online fashion labels based locally and even designed her own capsule collection with LOVET (@shoplovet) in 2019; we’ve covered the collaboration here.
The minute-long video reel showed the multiple looks curated and styled by Mongchin with H&M’s latest #HM2020CNY fashion items, including clothing pieces, bags and accessories — all in celebration of the upcoming festive season.
As per Mongchin’s usual classic style, she had picked items which would be timeless and wearable even past the Chinese New Year period; for example by complimenting neutral coloured garments with red accessories and styling bold red tops with denims.
The combined viewership count as of publication from both influencer and brand’s social media pages were close to 100k views.
The #HM2020CNY collaboration between H&M and Mongchin were limited to the lookbook video and social media posts by both parties.
